GreenScan 3D Wins An EMMY!
On April 28th, in New York City's Lincoln Center, Scott W. Pool became the first Golf Course Architect ever to receive an Emmy. At the gala 29th annual National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Sports Emmy Awards, Pool, President of GreenScan 3D, received The George Wensel Technical Achievement Award… More…

Welcome to GreenScan 3D. We appreciate your stopping by and hope our website will give you a better understanding of what GreenScan 3D is all about. It’s possible that we’re a bit prejudiced, but we consider GreenScan 3D to be one of the most important new tools developed for golf clubs and golf course superintendents in the past 50 years.
Put simply, GreenScan 3D is the most accurate technology available for restoring, replicating, preserving and archiving golf greens. Period. To best illustrate this, let’s make a brief comparison between traditional methods of surveying greens and GreenScan 3D.
A traditional surveyor sets points every 10 feet, and from these points provides a printout of data to be used as a guideline for rebuilding golf greens. With such great distances between points, clearly there is much room for error and disagreement when it’s time to rebuild or restore your greens.
GreenScan 3D makes use of advanced LIDAR technology to capture every detail of your greens precisely. Our data is built on a grid with points set every 6 inches. This data is then processed and provided to you in a format that can be downloaded into a Robotic Total Station, allowing the exact replication of the scanned putting surface. Using GreenScan 3D, your golf greens can be restored to an accuracy of 1/8th of an inch across the entire putting surface! And because GreenScan 3D is so efficient, the process of rebuilding your greens is no more costly than older, less accurate methods.
When your greens were first built, they were perfect. With GreenScan 3D, they will be again.
